Noco says their Battery Terminal Corrosion Preventative is non-conductive (acts as an insulator) and should be applied after the battery connectors are reinstalled back onto the battery terminal posts. So, don't coat the entire battery terminal posts before attaching the battery connectors. Coating the entire battery terminal posts may inhibit proper conductivity between the connector and battery terminal post because the Battery Terminal Corrosion Preventative acts as an insulator.

Put a drop of motor oil instead. Its free and does the same thing.
