I love your new furniture pieces on either side of the TV. I agree with another person who said to paint what you have the TV on. I had thought of that but forgot to comment. I love your family. I live through you because I always wanted 13 kids. God gave me 4 and we were able to do foster care for 7 different babies and ended up adopting one. Those were the best years!

I love the new cabinets! I can relate to the boy's antennae troubles! As a pre-teen and teenager, we lived out like y'all and had a roof antenna. There was a device that sat on top of the tv that you could turn the direction of the antennae N, S, E, W. Depending on which of the FOUR channels you wanted to see, you had to change the direction to see it clearly. For a long time, there was no remote for the tv, you walked (gasp.... lol) to it, changed it by turning the dial to the channel you wanted. 1970's life was quite different. No internet, no streaming, no I- pod, music was radio, record or cassette tape players. Movies at home were either broadcast on the major networks CBS, ABC, NBC or VHS video tapes played on the VCR. Paper maps were used for direction, there was no GPS. :-)
