Why SpaceX's Starship Is the Best Spacecraft Ever Made.
Elon Musk is a man that revolutionizes any industry he finds himself in. While it might seem like SpaceX is relenting, the opposite is the case, with the company announcing the Starship, the race to be the best is about to be won by a very large margin!

The algorithm chose you today, my friend.

The starship just had its first fully functional prototype tested a couple of months back. Starship is not an official rocket like the Falcon series, and is still susceptible to changes. It can't be judged yet.

When starship becomes a fully operational vehicle we all know it will become a beast, and can be judged from then.

This makes me so excited for the future.

As for the choice of stainless steel as building material, it probably doesn't hurt that it comes out looking like a classic '50's sci-fi rocketship. :D

The commercial airplanes costs about $100M minimum. Elon’s starship costs only about $2M. Imagine you could buy commercial rocket tickets at much cheaper prices than traditional airplane ones.

Not a single starship has been made... its all prototyping to find the right awnser to the question

Best spaceship ever made? Based on its last flight, it has yet to prove it's even worthy of being called successful . It will take many years before giving it the title of "the best spacecraft ever" and it must pass many worthy opponents, Voyager comes to mind.

All of Elon’s businesses seem to possess some form of cross benefit. The Boring Company builds tunnels which could one day be on both the Moon as well as Mars. The Hyperloop would no doubt be making use of the tunnels here on Earth, possibly transporting people to the launch platforms for the Starships setting off into LEO. Even his trucks could one day be roaming around Mars. Then there’s his Starlink project which will hopefully finance the expensive Mars project while simultaneously allowing us to make use of his proposed Neuralink which would monitor the astronauts health as well as provide them with virtual reality entertainment on the months long voyage to Mars. No doubt there are other technologies he’s working on (hydroponics perhaps, which I understand his brother is involved in) that we may not be aware of.

It’s cost per pound that makes the success of a private rocket. So stainless steel is capable of doing the job at a greater weight of more hi tech materials.... but at a far far lower cost...
It was a brilliant choice that I recall a lot of people mocking when they built the first mock up.
All of those people are eating their words now!

I bought a Tesla because I respect Elon. I like v12s and turbo 4s... but I went electric to support Elon Musk.
Then I realised I’ve never had a car that accelerated like that! So I was even happier. (Though it good look a bit more exciting)

Toasty Business: "Why SpaceX's Starship Is the Best Spacecraft Ever Made" - "..because if it all works out it will be the first to take humans to Mars!"
Everyone: so far it's gone to 12.5km straight up and down - cool your jets dude. There's a long, long way to go. It's not even been a SPACESHIP yet - let alone the best!.That's right - no Earth orbit let alone Moon or Mars. No reentries at all yet. How about we wait and see how it goes before declaring 'the best'.
Toasty Business: "Will carry up to 100 people to Mars!"
Everyone: Musk updated that number down to 50 in January 2020. You are already ONE YEAR out of date.

This entire video is a disaster area

And you didn't even mention his 3rd company, the Boring company. They are about to open a new "transportation system" that is a combination of subway tunnels and autonomous Tesla vehicles in the Las Vegas convention center.

Great video. However, whilst all of the benefits mentioned of steel over carbon fibre are true. But I am sure the main reason for using it is just that it takes far too long to build carbon fibre rockets. Elon said that if it takes too long then the design is wrong. They did originally plan for starship to be carbon fibre until they realised how slow it was to make and then switched to steel as they realised that it was plenty good enough.

Seems like all the research for this video was one everydayastronaut video. Weird and misleading, starship hasn't been made yet, and the one in the thumbnail is an older version.

@Toasty Businnes the video at 0:57 where did you get it..?

It's great that you spread the word about Starship! It will be to space trawel as the first train line was to land trawel! Immeasurable benefits over what we now have. I must however say that a lot of the stuff you say in this video is if not wrong very strangely put. Referring to heatshealding, weight to orbit and stainless steel advantages
