The Science of Gratitude

We all know gratitude is good for us. No one ever says,

“I don’t want to be a more grateful, more happy person.”

Scientifically speaking, gratitude comes with many benefits. Here are three:
1. Gratitude helps us overcome negativity bias (the tendency to focus on the negative)
2. Gratitude releases serotonin and dopamine and makes us happier
3. Gratitude improves our physical and mental health (including sleep)

And there are a lot more benefits, but like eating vegetables or exercising, gratitude takes practice and intentionality.

That’s why I’m giving away a free daily gratitude page. It’s a 5-minute practice of gratitude you do in the morning and the evening that will help you develop a practice of gratitude.

It will only be around until Giving Tuesday, so if you want it, get it now right here or by using the link in my bio.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Kent
