Sorry this is later than normal, but we had a lot going on and I wanted to get it in the show. This week we have NASA's plans to send humans back to the moon in 5 years. Will it be on SLS or a commercial rocket?

Asteroid Bennu looks to be a lot more complex than originally thought, and that may spell trouble for OSIRIS-REx.

And what is the latest way that space wants to kill you? Superbugs!

In Traffic this week we had:
Vega rocket with PRISMA
OneWeb OS-M launch with Cubesats
Electron launch with R3D2

And as always we close out our show with the latest Space Weather from Dr. Tamitha Skov.

If you would like to continue the conversation we have a few great ways to do that:
- Comment right here on YouTube. We'll comment back or even feature it in the show

Just gotta say (again), I'm _loving_ the separation between news and interviews. Makes the news segment reach a whole new level in quality!

This new split format is a big improvement over the straight podcast format. Idk why, but I couldn't get into the podcast. Now I watch every vid. keep it up!

That is by far the best fitting NASA t-shirt i’ve ever seen.

Great episode and really good report from Jade! Connection with everyday life and humor served with enthusiasm and happiness. Way to go!

Sarahs report on field was also very good!

Starting to think that 15 mins may not be enough to cover all exiting stuff during a week. :)

Finally an administration that cares about human space exploration. Don’t agree with everything in this administration but they definitely won some respect from me!

If you guys want to do a roundtable discussion about the new "accelerated moon landing program" (I imagine that could be the most probable topic for the next roundtable discussion) I would wait until Jim Bridenstine announces NASA's new plans to accelerate the SLS schedule. I really wonder what they have in their minds but he is already talking about horizontal integration of the core stage (weird for old space, huh?) and a lot of more weird things. Once we know what NASA plans to do, then it will be time to talk about it, I think it will be important to discuss those plans on that roundtable discussion

Just wanted to say I really enjoy the new format! Makes it way easier for me to stay up to date with all the content when the news is more condensed like this. Keep up the good work. Happy to support you! :D

Wow, that Pence speech is exactly the kick in the ass NASA needs...impressed. Not sure what that means? He spelled it out, if the contractors can't meet deadlines (Boeing) and get their shit together then we're going to use another contractor (SpaceX) that can. He also said the destination is south pole, huge. It means we're going after the water! Exciting stuff!

Interesting that the government and NASA want to launch back to the moon in the next five years possibly, and to the South pole portion at that. Coincidence, I watched the movie Apollo 18 last night, that talked about the same similar matter but set almost over 3 decades ago. Great show, and may I say *Jade Kim* is such a beautiful correspondent!

I would still love those Rocket progressbars for each topic.

I've read silver interferes with bacterial respiration. It may be prudent to observe any conductivity changes of particulates in ISS environment.

Nice to get astronauts to the moon's surface, better yet to bring them back safely.

I'd pay to see Ben in a belly shirt! It's possible, however, that his belly might exscape...

They're going to end up doing an EOR manned launch, with an LOR/LOR lander mission before this is all done. Look for SpaceX to suddenly re-hire a bunch at hawthorne, an initiative for a raptor based upper stage for falcon heavy, and the man rating of the heavy.

Sans the lander, and a way to dock with a delta heavy upper stage with an orion in we have the hardware without the SLS. Falcon Heavy is going to be easier to man rate than Delta I believe, and will be in service much longer.
