I visit the charming, historic port of Kochi (Cochin) in Kerala, the first European settlement in India. It's a town steeped in history, picturesque and with plenty fine seafood on offer. I visit some of the city's popular tourist spots as well as it's lesser-known gems.

In Fort Kochi I stayed at The Fort Bungalow: Contact Joseph: WhatsApp +91 974 661 0313

I love how you gather the history, it gives more information than many vloggers out there !!! Being a malayali/keralite myself, yes kochi is something different from other indian cities, due to its diversity, which has older stories to tell !!

Kk, so now your in Kerala, please try fish fry, el sadhya, beef fry, beef roast, parotta chili beef(thin strip beef with capsicum, and onions and green chili peppers, spicy dish, quite possibly influenced by Chinese), PalAppam(a curved spongy flat bread, with a hump in the middle, and crispy outer edge) and chicken curry, Erachi varatcha (fry ground mutton ), oyster fry, chicken roast, duck curry and Kalappam(flat rice based flatbread), **Appam means many things, chicken fry, chicken curry(many types ), malabari and thalaserry Biryani (a few types, arabic influenced but with Indian flavours), chicken chittnadu, Kerala fish curry(spicy, dark red in color), Kerala prawn curry and nice pithri (really thin rice based flat bread), chicken 65(this is a Tamil Nadu dish), Puri (fried flat bread)and sabzi(potato curry) (it's south Indian), pork curry, fish cutlets(I think this might be British or Portuguese influenced, a patty with diced potato with minced fish, but with a bit of spices and breadcrumbs as the outer layer), meat cutlets, eggplant curry(called kathrika), fried okra, errissery (pumpkin or squash stew), fish pickle or prawn pickle, and for dessert Semiya Payasam and halawa (orange or black, chewy gelatinous sweet)
