all we know is that innocent people can walk the streets freely without fear of violence whereas before it was impossible

I think Bukele has done an excellent job reducing crime, and that his use of suspending the constitution was completely justified to turn El Salvador around.
However, there's a chance that he could become fully fledged dictator in the long run if he does not eventually relinquish his extended powers.

When you see such number of people jailed, something is deeply wrong with this country domestic affairs.

Only Salvadorans know the reality and we love Mr. Bukele ..

Why are you so malicious with this stupid Statements.

Worry for your own country and leave us Salvadorans alone … Mr Bukele has 95% approval from his people.

Prior to this when in innocent people were murdered and their rights were violated, you the media, kept your mouth shut. Now we have freedom and we will continue to support Bukele another 20-30 years if possible 🫡

If media is against you, you are doing something good.

I see a lot of comments supporting bukele, but I can almost guarantee all those comments supporting are from El Salvadorians who live here in the states. The ones who actually live in El Salvador know how bad things are when it comes to living there. Public schools shutting down due to massive funds cut, super high prices for neccecites while still having terrible wages, large taxes on small/tiny businesses while millionairs and large businesses pay zero taxes. The reason you dont hear anything bad is because all negative media is immediately taken down, and you're at risk of bad consequences when trying to speak the truth. I know he's made the country safe, but there's a lot of bad thing's he's done along the way.

Amazing President. This is a politically motivated piece as Bukele leans right.
