Exposing Pimp in Mumbai's Red Light Area 🇮🇳 | Kamathipura

It's international women's day. This day is important to show the solidarity with all the women. Unfortunately a lot of women are the victim of human trafficking. Human trafficking occurs in red light area's. After reading about the horror's behind Mumbai's red light area I had to go there to try and see with my own eyes what happens in the red light area called Kamathipura.

That guy towards the end meant business when he said no video. He was testing you by asking you if you want his services. Usually Indians are very friendly when you speak to them in Hindi, but he was stone faced and the whole situation could have gotten super ugly for you very fast, it's good you did not presist and leave. I met a German photographer few years ago who went to a red light district in Calcutta and guy was told to stop videoing and he kept on doing it, they beat him up pretty bad and took his gear, when he went to the cops they accused him of soliciting prostitution and asked him why he was there in the first place, the thing got more complicated when the cops propped up some girl to accuse the German guy of soliciting her, just to gaslight him. He had to pay over a thousand euros for it go away. But he lost his expensive gear, apparantly he had a Hasselblad with him which they took as well. So be super careful when you film in these places, the police are very protective of their kind and will make it look like its your fault.
