Some kid started barking at me and pulling on my tail and I started to panic but then a group of fursuiters and cosplayers came to help me and calmed me down. The kid got threatened to be kicked out but he continued and it made the whole experience really uncomfortable.

I’m not what they call a “furry” myself but I do think most of the community are normal people just having fun and doing what they love and I bet if someone has never had the internet before and seen a furry they would probably say “oh that’s cute anyways” and move on (also keep up the good work and the head looks cool)

I remember i Was in a Furry con one time, I was really new and was pretty nervous, Everyone was REALLY nice and said that i looked great which made me feel happy but then there was this teen/kid(prob in his 12-14) That ran up to me and kept on yelling at me saying im Sexual, a groomer and he kept pulling me over and over again for like, no reason and then threatened to harm my suit and FAMILY, like geez calm down Kid!I was so stressed out especially because 2 of my family memebers got so sick They almost died and stuff it was traumatic, Thankfully other furry cosplayers Noticed me being in emotional pain and decided to bring the kids mum in so she can take him away

It’s (almost) always the outsiders that makes things weird by making assumptions, especially by appearance.
Just because someone likes, or dresses as a furry, doesn’t mean that they are an NSFW furry. There’s furries who doesn’t like to step into that sort of territory, and there’s some that could do both SFW, and NSFW furry-related things. It shouldn’t be hard to ask nicely if that person does SFW, or NSFW things, but if they’re uncomfortable with the topic, then it should be best to leave them alone about it.
Also, *_parents NEED to keep better watch of their kids, and the kinds of stuff they watch, or questions they ask, especially if it makes the person they’re asking a question towards them uncomfortable._*

Good ones:
-Genuinely fun to be around with these people
-they know their limits and know that they are just wearing a cosplay
-Respectful and overall great people
Bad Furries:
-they make thier cosplay thier entire personality
- very exaggerated animal noises
-rude or mean
-not fun to be around with
