Drones flyers want ONE thing the most = MORE FLIGHT TIME! I test and review the DJI intelligent flight battery plus for the Mini 3 PRO which offers a huge upgrade compared to the standard one to see just how good it really is and what sort of real world flight time you can expect, DJI certainly WON the game with this.

I got two of each batteries. For windy days, I use the plus batteries. I found that making the M3P slightly heavier helps fight the wind a little bit better.

To those who are worried about going over the 250 gram weight limit. I say don’t worry about it. The drone was originally manufactured to stay under said limit. What’s going to happen…..a cop going to track you down and demand you place the drone on a scale. Yeah ok. You’d have more of a chance of winning the billion dollar lottery then finding a cop with a scale. I for one will use the heavy battery without registering the drone and or using the privacy killing RID…………..

when flying in colder weather like -30 degrees keep in mind the flight time is around half the flight time and the colder than that yet then the shorter the flight time is. I have flown my mini 2 drone in -36 with no problems however flight time was shorter.

i love that the plus batteries are compatible for the mini 3, mini 3 pro, and the mini 4 pro! it makes thinking about future upgrading way better considering you'd be able to use your same batteries.

Wished DJI made a 47 min batt for my DJI FPV that only flies for 7 to 10 minutes.

Gavin, another interesting event landing one day after a launch. I ALWAYS rise after take off to 30 feet or 10 meters as you say. Then I go about what I aim to do. Well one day landing this happened:
I had to pull left stick down as it would not land with blade stop as low light would not allow it. So how did it get from 80 feet onver my neighbors yard at 100 feet high and swerve to the pad? I looked down and no pad. The wind had blown it to my neighbors yard and the drone saw it upon landing so moved to where it was which was still in the frame at launch but I did not know flying the pad had been moved. So it was following the pad readjusting the landing point but I am told they have no pinpoint landing. Interesting is it not?

This is great to hear! I was wondering how much longer these would last ... only getting 13min more didn't seem quite right. I just got my Fly More Plus kit here in Canada. Haven't had a chance to use them yet due to the weather. If anyone is curious, I weighed the standard and plus batteries and they came out to ~80g (80.26g) and ~120g (119.97g), respectively.

It's interesting how adding 40 grams lowers the max operating flight ceiling from 4, 000m / 13, 123ft ASL to 3, 000m / 9, 843 ASL. I wonder if the Mini 3 will be a bit more stable with the additional weight.

It does sort of suck having to register the drone and get a basic operations certificate just from adding 40g.

Certain contents would require longer battery life like when covering events so yeah, glad DJI is giving this option

Thanks for this. I often film steam trains by drone, and do have problems with batteries expiring if train is late. This battery would be ideal. I will buy when next in the USA on business

I have noticed something about the battery plus. It seems that I am getting better signal strength with the 249g battery.

I bought one of these drones today and the fly more kit with two big batteries. Hover testing at the moment to condition the batteries and the time is now showing 41 minutes remaining after five minutes of hovering.

Fabulous.

Just running them down to 50% a few times before doing a full test.

Has the Geo fence regarding the batteries in the EU been updated nine months later? Considering buying for a European/Italian holiday coming up.

I bought the fly more kit +, comes with 2 batteries. My god, how do we do without this? So good. Recommend it. I used to plan the flight a lot due to battery 🔋 anxiety. No more.

It’s just annoying that I have a garage full of RC plane / car batteries with 10x the power and capacity that cost a third what these do.
I could get some bigger capacity cells and stick them in the case but I suspect there’s something on the electronics to tell the drone which battery is in use.

My Mini 3 Pro is about 303 g with the + batteries.

Hey Geezer great video!
I need the bigger battery for mapping and hyperlapse I have heard that the drone is more stable in high winds, not just because of the extra weight but because there is more power for the motors is this true ?

So you are confirming that these batteries from Aliexpress are not scam.
I was looking into these but kinda felt not all right about it.
