Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul: Netflix’s Controversial Clash

This week I wanted to share my thoughts on the upcoming match up between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

Mike Tyson also known as “Iron” Mike Tyson is a professional boxing super star, actor, producer, and writer who has dominated pop culture since his 20’s

His boxing record includes wins against Brian Nielsen, Lou Savarese, Julius Francis, Henry Tillman, Frank Bruno, and Michael Spinks.

With very few loses in his career to Buster Douglas, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Danny Williams, and Kevin McBride.

Jake Paul is a current social media and pop culture superstar. In his short boxing career he has wins over Mike Perry, Nate Robinson, Ryan Bourland, and Andre August, with a single loss to Tommy Fury.

Netflix will be streaming the event live extending their venture into live sports and events.

What's great about Josh (and I'm far from the first one to say it) is that this is only about 70% comedy and jokes. The remainder is like a lecture or a speech or a TED talk or monologue from a film - there's compelling self-reflection, pregnant pauses, and introspection - and you don't really get that ratio with any other English-speaking comics in the popular circuit. Coming from someone who lectures and speaks for a living, Josh is really a special one.
