Something to add; Many countries in the world think its weird to take your leftover food home with you, but in the US its seen as completely normal.

I remember going to a diwaniya in Kuwait. It's a huge gathering area usually in someones house or a tent. The host serves everyone dinner and they're usually royalty or extremely rich. I had taken my friend along and wouldn't you know it he was left handed. As soon as he dived into the platter, for 20, that had fish machboos in it EVERYONE seated in our circle looked at him with disgust. One guy looked so pissed I thought he was going to fling his doll size cup of coffee at him 🤣
Good times.

Thanks for the videos team Babble🔝

I have enjoyed everywhere I've traveled, I love different customs and everything but some of the food things are very awkward. I can't eat heaping amounts of food and I have to avoid several foods due to allergies and reflux. I can't drink alcohol or fizzy drinks ... all of those things make me just panic when someone invites me to their place for supper.

Summer has come!

I have to say 'why?', Mulan caught 10 fish, but Li Shang caught only 1 fish. Regardless, classic summer fun

I knew some of these, and some I didn’t. I and my family are born and raised in America, and a couple of these are just practiced as normal table manners in my family. I don’t plan on traveling around the world to eat, but these are interesting things to know~

About the British one, it's only really important to know which way to pass Port is if your a man, at a country estate and your in a TV drama set pre world war 1. Personally I've never heard of anyone having Port except in some BBC Christmas specials, even then it's usually TV chefs putting Port into a Christmas pudding replacement dessert

Gheez, you can't do anything anywhere. When it comes to food "etiquette", I'm glad I live in the U.S.
I'm someone who eats intuitively, not fearing "waste", so having to finish my food when I'm full just so that I don't offend someone doesn't sound like something I'd ever be willing to do. If my body doesn't want any more food, I'm not eating anything else. I'm not going to over eat just to make someone happy. I don't care about how they feel about it 😆
