Onnit really "grabbed" my attention when I first stated re-investigating macebells (bc believe it or not they existed before Onnit) and at the start I really got the impression that they were the "way to go" based on the way they presented themselves as a brand. Yet for some reason, over time, that feeling waned and I ended up going with other brands.

I'm not sure how to explain what I dislike, I mean a lot of the videos are long and boring AF but they're also mostly OLD videos for some reason. They also don't fill up my spam box like some of the other brands out there do. (sometimes even AFTER purchasing something) I was in an FB "group" sorry "tribe" and just got put off by most of the people due to their "vibe."

Anyways here I am a year later and this 4 year old video pops up in my recommendations for some reason. If nothing else it points out one thing I have realized I don't like and it's the "gimmick" factor. Like hey look at these "monkey" bells! They're 5-10x less cool than the Star Wars ones but we must have got sued or had a limited contract with Lucasfilms or Disney or whatever so yeah MONKEES!

But this is actually less important than the simple fact that some of the shapes of the heads (both Plant of the Apes and Death Star editions) are simply impractical or anti-ergonomic if you will. Like WTF would anyone want any type of angles or edges on a KETTLEBELL? Is this some type of right of passage like shredding your shins DEADLIFTING? I THINK NOT.
