Unbox and test footage for the Laowa 7.5mm Lightweight - Inspire 2

Testing out the new #Laowa 7.5mm lightweight lens for the Inspire 2.

So far so good! Amazingly crisp, light and is a great wide option for the #Inspire2 range.

The only thing to keep in mind is it is fully manual which means you have to adjust the aperture & focus before you fly!

Just so you know you actually got the wrong kind. What I mean is that the light version has a red ring around the lens not blue. I have the laowa 7.5 as well, and it’s a great lens. Just hate to see you have gimbal problems in the future due to the extra weight. That is why your lens fall over to the right side (towards the end of the video) mine stays put wherever I put it.

Bought one about 2 months ago and I really like it for wide angle nature landscape shots. Other than it being a manual focus lens I like the pictures and videos that I get with it.

I have the x5R camera on the inspire 1 V2 and with this lens on it wont allow me to change any settings and will only record in 4K 30 and wont take photos at all any suggestions??

Footage didn't look that great honestly maybe if you shot something more city scape or something. Would love to see some rock star sample footage with this lens. How do you go about pulling focus for this?

Hi thanks for the video. Im having bad shaking footage when using the laowa 7.5mm (with the lightweight and the blue ring version) how to fix ? Its unusable for me, but everyone is using it. When the drone is off its balanced, i put it in whatever positive and it just stays, no swinging. Any tips ?

Use this lens for real estate interior videos with the GH5 and absolutely love it :)
