David Wood absolutely hits the nail on the head over this one. I'm an atheist but have a very soft spot for him because he is one of the bravest and most energetic Islamosceptics on the internet. Given that so many SJW atheists and sceptics have capitulated to PC and cancel culture, we owe him a debt and should be supporting him on that front.

there is no such thing as "the left". there are conservatives and progressives. Progressives are ready to undo even traditions that are centuries old under the right circumstances, while conservatives try to maintain traditions. This, in a nutshell is what it is all about. Every society needs both. A society functions best when these 2 sides keep each other in check. Progressives fight for sexual freedom, and without the counterbalancing actions of conservatives this would spiral out of control, even into realms of bestiality and incest. on the other hand, conservatives would like to maintain traditional roles of marriage and sex, and if left unchecked by the progressives, this too may spiral out of control, even to areas of defining fornication as a crime or punishing cheeating spouses. Progressive forces and conservative forces are meant to keep each other in check. this way, the society can avoid sudden, extreme, and potentially fatal changes to its fabric.
