The 3,300-foot-long pier on the shore of Lake Michigan has a storied history. It opened in 1916 and was a Navy training center during WWII. It’s been through many iterations and today is one of the Midwest’s most-visited attractions.

There’s a ton of things to see and do, like a sightseeing tour on the Spirit of Chicago, a luxury yacht with gorgeous views and gourmet meals. You can drop into any number of restaurants and bars, such as Tiny Tavern, the perfect place to enjoy a craft cocktail. The Navy Pier Park is home to the Centennial Wheel, a recognizable part of Chicago’s skyline that rises to 200 feet and gives 360-degree views over the city and Lake Michigan.
