How Often Should You Train Your Tendons? | Maximize Collagen Synthesis

How often should you train your tendons?

📈 For heavy slow resistance and plyometric exercises, I typically recommend having a rest day between training sessions.

That’s because it typically takes around 36 hours to hit net positive collagen synthesis.

📊 Some exercises can be done daily though.

Cyclical movements like sled pulls are a good low level consistent stimulus to the tendons that can be trained daily.

🗓️ Similarly, isometric exercises tend to be a bit less taxing and can often be trained daily.

These are great guidelines to follow, but also be sure to monitor symptoms and how you’re feeling and individualize your approach.

I like how you included the low intensity tendon as a daily option it shows you are not thinking in absolutes

Super helpful video! I’m currently rehabbing an Achilles surgery right now. I’m early in rehab where we are working on seated, weighted calf raises as well as getting more body weight onto the surgical leg during standing calf raises. Good info about every other day as I progress.

Hi there. What type of exercises do you have to suggest for a distal bicep tendon rehab? I am 7 weeks post surgery.
Thanks.

Hey MovementSystem. Great video!
Where can I find more information regarding collagen synthesis and tendon strength training?
Is there a book with all this information?

is not about the heavyness but the lowness on tendon recovery capacity, explosive moves are for tendons the slow is for them to recover faster as the muscle and tendon get stiffness easy to confuse them but yep explosiveness for training, lowness for health and recovery

Do tendons growth again after partial tear and reattach the bone muscle connection.?😊

Hey Sr, how do you regain elasticity in the achiles tendon calf, stretching how often? Without compromising the achiles insertion?
Thanks

I play basketball. Since I already do a lot of plyometrics, does the same times apply to me. And should I be doing these extra sessions in season as well

and weekend sports, I assume is considered heavy training.

Idk why you say slow everything I've heard says explosive and that's to get your muscles and tendons to fire as much as possible because if you don't put enough strain on the movement your doing your muscles will take over and your tendons may barely get worked
