Another viable option is going down the path of psychotherapy. Philosophy is full of arguments concerning how one should live their life and it is a very useful addition when talking to a patient. Some might even argue that you can't do psychotherapy without knowing at least some philosophy.

Another great career option for philosophy majors is being a medical doctor since philosophy majors have the highest acceptance rate into medical school over all other undergraduate degrees.

I do believe that having philosophical major help me through any job that I'm tackling. Because philosophy basically teaching about abstract things that is very hard to explain--and very hard to understand--in schematic, logic, or structured way. But because of it, I can learn any job requirements that I want because I already learn something very hard and any other topics is easy as hell LOL

Thumbs up from a philosophy grad working as a software engineer with a pure philosophy / philosophy communication hobby on the side (writing a book / moderating an online community).

Big thank you for this video. The last two choices are the more convenient if one wants to do "pure" philosophy but is good to be aware that we may have other choices.

Currently I am thinking about getting my Master degree in Philosophy of Science or in Philosophy and Economics... With the first I'd try to become a Science Journalist with a newspaper or so.

I’m a philosophy student considering becoming a teacher. I’d want to teach language on the secondary level and want to pursue a doctorate on the philosophy of politics in Marxism

I'm having a teeny-weeny little crisis in my life right now. I'm 32, I still, STILL live with my parents, I have two degrees (Religious Studies and English, World Religions and Disability Studies), and I have, and I need you to hear me out on this...NOT. THE. SLIGHTEST. CLUE. Not ONE TINIEST idea, of what I want to do with my life. Lawyer? No. I'm not a con. Professor? Can't. You don't get benefits anymore. Government? No. I'm an Anarchist. Business owner? No. I'm hideous at math. So, any tips?

I'm considering computer science, economics, philosophy, physics, law. CompSci seems boring if I don't end up as a freelancer, business intelligence analyst or lead game developer tho, based on average salary, it's Based on interest, it's
Potential skill:

I think I will choose CS and then I will be an either Game Developer, Mobile Developer, Business Analyst, Data Scientist or Software Engineer.

I will take a master's degree in CS because I will stand out more and seem more interested

I believe philosophy is a great major & very interesting. The challenge for some people could be what career path to choose if a person does not want to pursue graduate school

I don't always talk to philosophy majors, but when I do, I always ask for extra cheese on my burger.
