Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline Trailsport the BEST new midsize truck?

FIRST LOOK: The Ridgelne us getting some changes for 2024. This truck competes with the Nissan Frontier, GMC Canyon, Chevrolet Colorado & Toyota Tacoma. Under tge hood is a 3.5L V6 mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. On the outside if the Trailsport are true off-road tires, new wheels, grill & tailgate.

What a versatile and capable truck, we're on our second one and it never fails on or off road. Weekend camping, throw your food and beers in the trunk, dump ice in and you're good for the weekend. Great review men!!!

I’ve owned three Ridgelines and have loved all of them. I now own a GMC Sierra 1500 and am going to downsize to the more nimble Ridgeline. I also look forward to again having the lockable trunk and two-way rear gate (6-way is nice on the GMC but it only opens vertically). Honda has done a great job and I love the Trailsport look.

I just started researching a new truck. Been looking at the 2024 Tundra and Tacoma. This 2024 Ridgeline seems like a better fit for me. I don't tow anything and no off-road. Mainly for daily commute, take family to camping a few times per year and around the house projects.

If it sits in the 40-50 price range I'd say this is a go to. This truck checks many boxes and even if you are not into off road driving this is still a great option to consider.

You are absolutely correct in that the size of the Ridgeline is the sweet spot for having a functional truck that actually fits in one's garage. I love my 2022 RTL-E truck.

Nice review! I had an original ‘06 Ridgeline and it was the most reliable vehicle I ever owned. Drove it for almost 10 years in the harsh New England winters and it never missed a beat. VTM4 is the real deal and with good tires it’s like riding on rails in the snow. I like the redesign and the Trail Sport is very intriguing. Have a Taco presently and its a great truck but the Ridgeline is a more comfortable better handling truck. The naysayers will always bring up the lack of a ladder frame, but its a legit workhorse for homeowner type tasks.

The V6 and under bed storage outstanding. This truck is really more suited to many who don't need a work truck. I think it was too car like to be truck cool which hurt popularity. The V6 may win some converts.

The Ridgeline is a great truck. I love the new dash configuration with the analog looking dials and the wheel /tire combination not only looks great but will make off roading even better! The drivetrain with the natural six is Bullitt proof and the real world ride, performance and reliability make the Honda Ridgeline Trailsport the absolute best bang for the buck truck, on the market today. There’s a switch in the glove box that turns on and off the Lock for the trunk. The trunk will lock with all the doors

I have a 21 RTLE. Love it. I had an 06 RTL, too. Not raising the ground clearance for this model is sacrilege. It's nothing but bling with a bang plate.
