My nextdoor neighbor is a manager at a Toyota dealership here in Greece and he got a brand new GR Yaris back in 2020 and I am not joking he had the car for only 6 days before he was rear ended by a School bus, so he got the fixed and he daily drive it until last month when he crashed the car again, long story short he took the car out for a drive in the middle of the night and he got T-boned by a in a intersection be drunk driver doing around 80 mph, he was fine but the car was absolutely totaled. So after that he needed a new car so he replaced the GR Yaris with a Toyota AE86 that used to be a rallycar.

If you have the stock drivetrain on the car the regular race gearbox is basically a straight cut it will make the sound of a straight cut gearbox when you're driving

You can make it fwd if you have the race diff (i didnt try any others) and go to diff in tuning and put the slider to 100% to the front

It's story is even cooler!

It WAS supposed to be a WRC homologation special, but it isn't. Toyota was developing the street version of the GR Yaris, but stopped the whole Yaris WRC development because 2020 happened.

Then the rules changed so the next WRC car had to be a hybrid, but they finished making the GR Yaris anyway. It's quite literally a homologation special that doesn't homologate anything
