I think what really makes "layering sounds" a thing is how well the sounds' envelopes blend in with one another. For example, if you have a piano with a short release and a harp with a long release, the piano is going to stick out and you can tell that those instruments will be competing with each other. That Guitar-Polysynth sound and the electric piano we're flowing in the musical space together really well. 8:34 . Thats dope.
