Not every Church song references actual Bible stories, it’s more common to sing the metaphors of the Psalms than the exploits of the Apostles in Acts. So when I hear bible stories sung about, my attention is grabbed. That’s the Power is a new song from amazing songwriters in our Church with lyrics like - “Sends Goliath to his knees” and “In the furnace unafraid” and mentions the power that rolls the grave. Whether kids are facing something tough or just going about their day, God’s power is always there to help us and guide them, a connection to a faith going back thousands of years. It’s a big song for a small voice to sing and declare. Don’t miss the opportunity to talk about the stories backing up the lyrics in this anthem.
