I remember when cake pops came out during my time. I was born in the early 2000s. I usually get a cake pop once a week at Starbucks now

Cool Whip was introduced in the 1960's too. It's great on Jello!

Let's face it the only generation with good taste are those who were born in the 40's. Chiffon Cake is still the best cake ever. I love them 😊

Well, it looks like I was born in the tail end of the Lava Cake trend...December 1999.

my dessert closest to my birth year is cake pops... only by a year.

Good video, but misleading title. I highly doubt that each dessert listed was the most popular for the entirety of each decade.

I am not much of a sweet liker but if I do like one, it It is warm apple pie ala mode and I only eat it once or twice a year. I liked cheesecake but it is not sweet and I didn't ruin it by topping it with sweet cherry syrup. Plain cheesecake is not sweet, just rich! I don't know why I watched this. I only only had cheesecake with coffee to chase it down. I had to give up coffee so goodbye cheesecake.

Is anybody going to talk about how babbletop makes such an effort to find all these clips from tv shows and movies

This title is COMPLETELY different than what the actual video is. The video is just a timeline of a handful of popular deserts by decade. They don’t even mention 10 per decade let alone year.

Born in 1989. Tiramasu is pretty damn good. Been a while since I had it, though.

My grandma always make jello for dessert because it reminded her of her child hood. She said her mom would always make jello for dessert for her and her siblings depending on their behavior. Now my grandma always makes jello whenever we go to her house

There are recipes for carrot cake dating back to the 13th/14th century, as for global popularity* it's been a staple here in the UK since the 1940's. Around the time the British started using radar to stop german air attacks the UK was having something of a carrot glut, one of the many recipes the Ministry of food suggest people make to use up the surplus was carrot cake.

*= the only reason it was 'popular' during and after the war was because until February 1953 sugar was rationed, due to the carrot's natural sweetness you didn't have to use some of your weekly sugar ration (8 ounces a week)

Frappuchinos were NOT made by a barista. It was originally made by the man George Howell himself. He sold the rights back in '94 to Starbucks and the then CEO took it and ran. George had to wait for a no competition clause to be up before he opened a few of his own cafes with his own name in the Boston local area.
