best way not to use resistor is to change your turn signal relay to electronic. your old relay is relying on the resistance of the bulb to blink on a normal manner.

Actually LEDs use less power and it’s resistance is actually higher. By adding a resistor in parallel to the light you are lowering the resistance of the circuit causing it to mimic an incandescent bulb.

Electro-mechanical flashers have been phased out for electronically controlled flashers for a long time now. Only place your gonna find electro-mechanical flashers is in older vehicles.
