So here I am, 5 yrs.after this cover was made, hearing this song for the first time. Whoever wrote this must have known my spouse of 20 years. Our relationship reflected these lyrics perfectly, unfortunately for me. Very dark and angry. I am sad to think that someone experienced a similar, dismal, empty time in his or her life. Good news, it is many years later, and I am very happy and ar peace in my little world. For all of the unsettling feel of this song, I have to admit that it was performed very well. The guitar work was masterfull by such a young musician! Dan's emotional and powerful voice was terrifyingly good. I must find a mellow song now to ease the tension that was Sad But 😓
