my bf has these grey cargos he tried to dye black and theyre like marbled and they look SO cool. or dying bright red shirts black and they get maroon with dark stains like i fw that so much

I would say a tie dye shirt that has a graphic on it can be cool. There is a super famous music store near me that has a lot of tie dye shirts as merch, and they look so sick

I was so scared clicking this video haha- I agree with most of these! I think we are tired of 2018 core. I thought it was funny when you mentioned tie dye because I agree… buT one of my favorite shirts right now is a blue/grey/black tie dye thrasher tee that I like wearing with my black wash baggy jeans. In essence the shirt is so unfashionably 2017/2018 (tie dye andd thrasher) but I think it’s my exception. It was my first skate brand tee and thrasher magazine is pretty fun to flip through.
That being said- I still hate tie dye in general 😂

Also the last one was a really interesting choice to me! I have always liked cutoff hoodies because of the way my dad styles them specifically. He dressed them more streetwear. Imagine a baggy black sleeveless hoodie over a baggy tee paired with some timberlands- very 90s hip hop streetwear vibe

I agree with all of these sooo much!
My two counterpoints:
- The platform converse are the only ones with arch support for my bad feet! I'm already 5'8" so I don't need the height but I neeeed the arch support.
- I fw an oversized black/red tie dye tee with biker shorts or a skort sooo hard. i'm a big fan of band tees or movie graphics on a hand-dyed tee. studio house designs makes some of my favorites!

a lot of these are just things that were trendy 5-10 years ago. I feel like classifying these as unfashionable isn't sending the best message.

A lot of these things are popular in the plus size fashion circles - you can even get combinations: pleather jeggings, tie dye witchy. As a short 5' plus size person myself I can't bring myself to embrace the wide leg trend as it makes me look like fucko the clown, so I love a good skinny jean or legging but not a fan of the fake jean printed ones. I think the pleather look is out too but it still looks really good in alternative styles along with the moto stitch. I love tie dye but only truly hand made in thoughtful colors; maybe on something classier like a button up- not the printed tie dye you find in fast fashion now. I love the witchy stuff but also goblin/fairy core looks, but I feel it's easier to put together the look from a thrift store. I have to admit crocks have been tempting because I know they're comfortable. I see them all the time, they look fun as hell with all the little charms on them, but they do become the focus of an outfit lol!

definitely possible to style tie dye fashionably. I think it looks better in more faded vintage or nature tones like dark greens or browns in a 70s style or grungy stoner way. for example I have a long dark green and white loose fitting tie dye dress that I wear with combat boots and a white t-shirt under/mabe layered with a big grungy cardigan or sweater and I've never felt it looked cheap.

every other point you made is so true though, everyone at my uni wears Crocs and I absolutely despise Crocs.

I agree on most of these, I love chunky jewelry but the plastic ones don’t appeal to me, they’re almost too chunky? I have seen lolitas/dolly aesthetic outfits with them and I think it works if your style is geared more in that direction! Great vid, I always like hearing your opinions on styles and trends! 🖤
