To Trish Regan: Yes you did. You said Denmark would develop in the same way as Venezuela.

As a Dane, I really don't care if some right-wing lunatic does not approve of our society.
I am however disturbed that she gets away with such comparisons. I fail to see how those numbers in ANY way is supposed to debunk "socialism". Which is a term the right-wing Americans are trying to make seem as "scary" as possible.

The comparison is just as dumb as if I was to compare the USA of today to Germany under National Socialism.
Laughable to think she is considered any kind of journalist.

The American people deserve better than this.

“Denmark, like Venezuela, has stripped people of their opportunities.” You say you didn’t compare the two?

Just to clarify: I said the opposite of what I said.

Yes you did. And Denmark is not socialist, it's social democratic - something that clearly does seem to work.

Actually you did. When you compare two countries you are drawing parallels. The dishonesty here Trish is appalling

Is it considered fake news or alternative facts when everything she is saying about Denmark is false? Clearly she is a bad journalist.

In Soviet Denmark ... journalists seek the truth.

Yes you did. To point out a small country like Denmark..you thought no one cared...but we Danes care. And we do not like lies and fake statements here. We are use to decent politicians no matter if we agree. And truthful and objective journalism

Socialism? Denmark have a centre/right government and the people of Denmark are for the most part very happy with the democracy and welfare state we have.
Get your facts straight before you spread fake news and compare us to a malfunctioning and undemocratic government in a country, where people are suffering.
Iif you do say something, stand by what you are saying and don't chicken out like someone, who does not know what they are talking about!!!
Greetings from Denmark.

Also, Denmark have just been ranked the third happiest country, third year in the top three of the ‘happiest country’ list and study. And as someone has pointed out, the most happy countries in the world are the ones with free healthcare and education, the thing that Trump is so against, that he has his puppets on FOX doing propaganda against it.

Once again, so SO thankful I don’t live in America - the so-called “land of the free”...

WE'RE NOT SOCIALISTS?! If anything we're a capitalist society. If you work hard here you will make a better life for yourself than if you don't.

The reason people were upset by the broadcast was mostly because almost ALL of her facts were incorrect. Yes, tax can be 56%, but that's only for the top 10% of earners, everyone else pays left. When talking about the number of people not working here, she said that the majority of people were not working, but failed to mention that those statistics included children, retired people, parents on maternity/paternity leave and people in hospitals; our employment rate is actually HIGHER than the US. Yes, we do have a problem with people staying in school for longer because of the grant, but at least our schools aren't failing (not that all American schools are failing, there are many incredible schools in the states, but many in less affluent neighbourhoods in America have terrifying statistics).

If they even did the slightest amount of research then Fox would have realised that we are a capitalist country with high taxes and universal facilities like healthcare and schooling. This is an insult to an entire country; we're not perfect and living here isn't like a utopia, but we are not failing our people.

I like how she doesn't address in the slightest the myriad of misrepresented or plain wrong "facts" she included in that Denmark skit.

Yeah good call. We just wanted to point out, that socialism is the wrong way, so we took a land in Europe (which is away from socialism) and created a bunch of arguments with nearly no truth in it. And you Americans still wondering, why more and more people in this world are laughing about you? With all that face-palming I did since trumps win, I will be an unicorn next year...

Yeah Norway, Denmark, Finland, Sweden are not Socialist countries. Sweden leans the most to that though. But these countries are the best in the world on/in many things just check the facts.

Her "clarification" didn't address the bizarre claims she had made--e.g., "Denmark, like Venezuela, has stripped people of their opportunity, " no one wants to works in Denmark; no one graduates from universities; everyone graduating from school wants to open cupcake cafes (???).
