'SNL' finale Cecily Strong's Judge Jeanine Pirro makes a splash on

Judge Jeanine Pirro, played by Cecily Strong, gave her "parting thoughts" during the season finale of "Saturday Night Live."The real Judge Pirro hosts Fox News' "Justice with Judge Jeanine." In March 2020, her show moved to a remote broadcast and the first at-home show raised eyebrows after Pirro seemed to be stumbling over her words during the program. Fox News explained that technical difficulties "impacted the quality" of the cable news show, but social media users speculated that the delays might have come from alcohol consumption. Strong, dressed as Pirro, swiveled onto the Weekend Update "SNL" set with a bulbous glass of red wine, making sure to splash a little on Weekend Update anchor Colin Jost to accent her slurred speech. Jost mentioned that it had been awhile since he last saw Strong's Pirro."I'm still here. My show on Fox is on every Saturday at nine," she said. "But I did take some time off recently, I went down to the most luxurious place on Earth: Mar-a-Lago."The faux-Pirro gave heropinions on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris' border policy. While she said the current presidential administration is "a disaster," she added that she's still standing strong because she did it "My Way."Strong then gets up from the desk, not without spilling the remainder of her red wine on Jost while asking him to hold her glass, and breaks out in song with Frank Sinatra's "My Way.""Bring in my other wine," she said, noting her empty glass. Stagehands then wheeled in a giant glass box of red wine topped with a large straw. Strong's Pirro went into the second verse of the Sinatra song and scooped up a glass full of liquid to throw back on Jost. She finished the song by immersing herself in the wine box and belting, "I did it my way!"The skit got the attention of Twitter users who rumored that the performance may have been the "swan song" of Strong's time at "SNL" after nine seasons."I really hope she sticks around but if this is Cecily Strong’s Swan Song on #SNL well that was a (expletive) of a way to go out," one user wrote. Another user tweeted: "I’m going to be so sad if Cecily Strong is leaving SNL. She’s one of my faves. She seems to be fighting off tears and the Weekend Update skit…it all has me worried."Contributing: Hannah Yasharoff
