I think Ashley not leaving and also seing her rebel era photo is essentially the same thing. Just like she let her aissatant and A-train escape, she knows she already made too many mistakes to have a new life, so she will try to give little helps from the inside that only her can give. She's a rebel in a systemical top. I hope she don't end up dying with the revolution....

About Ambrosius - it might be that she's still alive. She was fine sitting outside the tank for a while and they drew attention that "she can't be out for too long", so her immediately starting to suffocate seems weird. It could be a trick she played to survive and crawl to safety and maybe come back for revenge.
