Why Don’t Jehovah’s Witnesses Respond to Criticism?

A very weird article on JW.ORG, in which Watchtower says they don't respond to all accusations against them...despite them definitely doing that?

I became stumbled over the fact that an elder here in the UK worked for the United Nations as an expert advisor, while at the same time giving talks at both circuit assemblies and conventions
When I questioned a CO during a visit to my congregation about the subject he said "it's not true because Jehovah wouldn't allow such a thing" (an elder working for the UN).
When he later discovered that it was fact he deflected the hypocrisy by saying to me "your conscience is too sensitive" and told me to pray more and do frequent personal study.
I think he was trying to gaslight me, with 'New Gaslight' lol.

Recently, when I was visiting my parents, my mom wanted me to tell them why I always decline her invitations to the meetings. I gave her 2 reasons. 1- I don't believe in the shunning practice and 2- I can't support a "religion" that handles CSA the way Watchtower does and talked about the Australian Royal Commission case with WT....she started defending the WT by saying its all fake news and the brothers warn them about listening to/believing fake I explained that the ARC trial with WT was like going to the Supreme Court and therefore was in no way fake news. I ended up making her so uncomfortable they had to just drop the conversation. It's been 25 years since I've stopped going to the culty meetings and don't plan on returning. 🙉🙉🙉🙉

Enjoyed the different perspective from your video. I “do” have mixed emotions on the topic stemming from the fact that I am currently a JW. On one hand I feel it’s so very vital not to believe every article that’s read or seen on the internet or social media, especially pertaining to JW’s. However I DO wholeheartedly agree that a lot of the accusations which is made aware to us all comes from a funneled source which is mom (GB). I hate the fact of having information withheld from me and just ignorantly obeying simple because “mom told me so”… a lot to ponder in a 14 minute video. I appreciate it.

It’s interesting how they “KNOW” it’s a lie, without even looking at it. That’s what happens when 8 old dudes that look like they came straight from Craigslist’s “missed connections” tab, are so power hungry and determined to be God’s middle man.

Jay Dubs have their heads in the sand and don’t know much at all about the child abuse issues and court cases . In fact they minimise and say it’s not as bad “ as they say” . Often their talks wouldn’t even discuss the title I came to listen too years ago . So happy to be out
