Yeah, this $1,000 phone has a serious problem.

A couple of recent conversations became the catalyst for this video - a talk about a phone that both doesn't make a lot of sense, but also seems to have been completely overlooked. The fix seems simple and yet there have now been a couple of opportunities to solve it, with no action having been taken. This is my Samsung Galaxy S25+ review.

And now they've made the S25 Ultra look even more like those phones too.

It's a blessing not getting mugged where i live because my phone looks cheap.

Seeing Onana catch strays in an Android Police wasn't on my bingo card. Shame Bayindir isn't much better

Exactly why I bought a S24 Ultra last month!

I absolutely agree, one gets too little for the money, it is not a bad device, by any means, but at 850 EUR (in my Eastern European country) it should have offered more. Better cameras especially, should Samsung have made an upgrade in that department, it would have been much easier to recommend.

That’s actually a big thing here in Iran—phone theft is really common. If someone sees you using a flagship phone, they might follow you around waiting for a chance to snatch it and run. Most people here can’t afford high-end phones, so you really have to be careful about where and when you take your phone out.

Phones shouldn't be released every year. Yikes.

I got the Z fold 6 at launch for productivity. It is such a bliss to have the large display AND the s-pen during remote office meetings, where I have been able view the people, have a spreadsheet open and taking handwritten notes at the same time. Now the handwritten notes are where I love that I can use AI to align my scribbles and also handwriting to text.

7:30 it’s true that I don’t use AI on the device “all the time”, but I’d rather have it than not

Samsung's stale line up made me swap my S23 Ultra for the Oppo Find X8 Pro which I bought on import for under £900 with case and charger included. Best choice I've made in a long time

I think there's too much complaining about how the phones look and feel. Sure we don't want them boring and slippery, but if you're buying them so people can see that you've got the expensive model, maybe reconsider your self esteem?

Sorry but I disagree. I personally think having a standartized visual image is good. But well... I'm the guy who thinks a phone is only as thin as its thickest point, so camera bumps are stupid and the phones should be uniformely thick and have bigger battery and cooling space. I do agree with your take on cameras and other specs.

I bought this for 800 euro about a month ago and it was and still is the cheapest 8 elite phone is my country, I don't care about cameras all that much, the battery is easy 2 days for me, the display is amazing, I have upgraded after 5 years so for me it is amazing. I think people expect too much from year to year upgrades, we have reached the top of what a slab of screen can offer so almost all phones are 90% the same.

It's not 2 years bro S22 plus has the same cameras. Even the 10 MP telephoto lens has been used since S20 Ultra. So It's almost 6 years lmao😑

There's nothing wrong with the exterior design of this phone. The issue is people paying too much for "flagships" don't like how budget phones can look just as nice now.

Me watching this on my S25+ 😂.

It's my first flagship phone. The Ultra was pushing it on price, and lots of reviewers praised the past iterations.

I'm so excited to have it and I've been trying to learn everything about it to maximize all of it's features.

I can comprehend the criticism. It's bad to see Samsung plateau like this. From a person who came from a midrange phone from 2019, I just try to enjoy everything this device gives me considering I'm not the kind of person who can afford to switch between different devices.

My sister is in the samsung ecosytem, and doesn't need an Ultra.

Comes from an S20plus.
I'll recomend a S23Plus used or maybe next years' silicon carbon battery upgrade.

Yeah, that's a big problem with the non ultras since the s23. I got the S23 because it was nice and compact, but it's indistinguishable from the countless low end samsungs sold.

Good catch, police. But you're missing a very important part of this new era in marketing and design: specs are for nerds. The regular phone user doesn't care if the S25 and A36 are very distant in price range; they just look good and have 3 rear cameras, and Samsung knows that. If they can sell you a very expensive phone that looks good or a "cheap" phone that looks like the expensive one, they are winning on both cases. We, nerds, know the difference and handle-pick our choice based on what we want and how much we are willing to spend; we are not the majority :)
