I looooved The Last Time I Lied and it has such great summer vibes! I think I'm definitely a seasonal/mood reader lol. I'm reading Reckless Girls right now (it's fun so far) and The Woods are Always Watching probably next. I also picked up a thriller called The Perfect Ruin that has a really summery cover!

The Last Time I Lied is my favorite Sager. My list includes The Ruins, The Troop, The Summer I Died, and Summer Sons. I'm sure there are more but I try to read 3-4 seasonal read each season.

The Island, Reckless Girls, and Last Time I Lied are also on my summer tbr 😃 I just finished reading Beach Read yesterday and I personally liked it, but it was my first Emily Henry book so I can't compare it to the other two.

The Island sounds really familiar and the author does too but I don't think I've read others by him. It sounds good! The Woods Are Always Watching sounds like a perfect summer book--I'm obsessed with woodsy-settings and really remote locations. I really liked The Last Time I Lied--it was my first Riley Sager book and I read it during summer...it was the perfect setting. Great video!

I have The Last Time I Lied on my summer TBR. I've only read Home Before Dark by Riley Sager, and I loved it. I have high hopes for this one, too.

That’s too funny that you say wintertime is more scary! I think the opposite 😂 I feel like the summer time is a great atmosphere for horror books because the heat drains energy. At least in my opinion 🤣

Reckless Girls was middle of the road for me but I hope you like it!! I haven’t read that book of a Riley Sager’s but I hear mixed things as well so I haven’t picked it up.

I'm also like you and don't really care if I match the season of the book to the current season but it can be fun sometimes! I've read Reckless Girls and it really surprised me with 4 stars, Beach Read was 4 stars but I preferred People We Meet on Vacation and I sadly didn't like The Last Time I Lied, but I hope you love it! 😊

Ghost Summer is excellent (of course, it's Tananarive Due.) Two that I especially loved from this collection are "The Lake" and "Patient Zero."

I loved ‘Reckless Girls’. It was a bit cliché but with a twist. I wasn’t sure where it was going, but I also wasn’t trying to figure it out. I also read ‘The Wife Upstairs’ and loved it. ‘The Last Time I Lied’ was so good. I’m going to catch up on my Riley Sager novels this summer.
