Roxon S502 Modular Knife, Another $20 Budget 💎

From a budget perspective..this maybe be one of my top 5 budget knives under $20, even with the blade it comes with..an excellent value for a blade that will be legal everywhere: 2.9" and is super easy to clean!

The best thing is the blades are interchangeable on with the Roxon Phantom multi tool.

I’ve considered picking up the Roxon KS (knife-scissors). Sadly it does not have the interchangeable blade (has a dumb tanto that you can’t replace), but that also allows it to add full-size scissors and still remain reasonably thin. It’s puzzling to me that so few companies have done this... ie, add full-sized scissors to a folding knife with a pocket clip. How many people buy SAK’s just to have a fidley little pair of scissors? So this is yet another area where you have to admire Roxon for innovating. There’s plenty of opportunity for someone to do the same with higher quality steel and one-handed opening. Anyone who designs the “Delica of scissors” would sell a ton.

I just bought one, and rated it 4/5. It's a nice idea but the construction means that there is substantial side to side play in the blade. I tried to shim it but there is not enough room to take a shim. It's OK for light jobs but not solid enough for heavier stuff like cutting wood. I'll keep this one around the house and use my new Civivi Praxis Mini as my EDC.

My main concern would be that clacking the blade around when switching it out is going to dull them. That could be what happened with the sheepsfoot blade. Still, it's awesome.

Just a heads up the utility blade is a bit picky with its dimensions I'm sutprised that stanley's utility blades will not fit the utility knife holder because stanley has .5-1mm difference from the respective sided holes however the supplied blades will fit just whelp there goes my idea

If they were to add the ability to load 2 blades at once - nice sturdy blade for carving and the box cutter for finer craft work - ok, it would be slightly thicker but so useful.

They need a washer bearing system or tigher tolerance because this and the muti tool is a rattle box of legos waiting to happen 🙄 just my thoughts 🤔 great design though just needs a bigger pliers and fix the noise maker features 😅😊

Just recieved the scissors/knife (S501) tool today, and I'm not crazy about the tanto blade. Any idea if these blades would fit that tool?

Sadly after viewing this video a year later, this knife is temporarily unavailable. The exchange blades are still available on Amazon though. Would like to find a source for this knife. 🤔

The drop point and american tanto blades are made of 5cr15mov steel but the other blades are made of 8cr17 steel and of course SK5 for utility blades.
