I really appreciate this album as a listener, but lemme tell ya, I appreciate it even more as a tap dance teacher. Lucky, Shanti and Tangerine Rays are great warmup tracks. Easy to keep time, positive energy and a nice range of tempos. I also did a small tap dance combo to No Gravity to promote a festival appearance. Plus, I’m always looking for electronic tracks with odd time signatures to jam/train with and Sona provides that too. I’ve had half this album on repeat for the last few weeks just for work 😂

You can tell when bowtied is reviewing a project he genuinely loves, and it shows

Great album, great review, definitely top 10 of the year

I agree with one point that Shanti and Lucky felt kind of short. Also Tangerine Rays, my favourite track from this album also feels short. It has a pretty solid and unique drop but only lasts 8 bars rather than 16 bars. If these tracks were to be released during true colors, I am pretty sure Tangerine Rays and Shanti would have been around 4:30-5 mins. Lucky having 3rd section as well.

I LOVE this album as a piece of art, and dare I say it's an artistic masterpiece. I personally would've preferred a return to his roots with more progressive and electro house, and I agree that Out of Time's drop didn't live up to the rest of the song, but I still love the album, and that song is still my favorite on it due to its musical style.

For me, as a work of art, this album is really good an you can immensely appreciate the creativity, depth and sound design of it. With that said its hard for regular listening and i don't find myself coming back to it all that often.

Sad you think No Gravity is boring. I think it's a solid album, but it's definitely his weakest album, solely based on storytelling. His previous 2 albums are SOLID examples of this, and Telos falls flat halfway through. It's a shame, because it could've been more cohesive.

Agreed that the quality of the album is somewhat inconsistent, with some strong tracks and some very meh tracks. Tangerine Rays, Shanti, Automatic Yes, and Decensus were great albeit kind of short. No gravity is super generic sounding, and Sona sounded like a Glacier track but less interesting/complex sonically. And some of the lyric writing are so painfully bland.
