I spoke to an ex-client when she consulted after 5 years. She was into her motherhood and now that her kid is 4 years old, she decided to prioritise her health too and hence consulted me again. I asked her a lot of questions for personalised assessment. In brief,
She said Sir, since last 1 month,
1. I started working out again. I am lifting weights 3-4 days a week.
2. I eat at home usually but on weekends, I am eating out.
3. Mentally, I am good except the fact that I feel bad and I regret that I couldn’t prioritise my health in the last few years.

We had a long discussion but my main point of discussion was :

1. Your friend’s body may start showing effects of healthy lifestyle in 1 or 2 weeks and your body may take 2-3 months for the same results. Understand that every body is unique and every human being has a different genetic makeup, lifestyle habits, gut micro biome, mental status etc. Don’t compare.
2. Be consistent. Don’t workout to get results. Workout to enjoy the feeling of energy and strength you experience while working out. Just make sure you are doing the right exercise (different for every person) and in the right form.
3. Eating at home doesn’t necessarily mean you are eating healthy. Trust me, a glass of milk can be a nectar to one person and slow poison for another person. Consult a good nutritionist and get your meals sorted.
4. Your mental health plays a vital role in your overall health. Again, I will say if you are able to process your emotions well and have a great EI. Great for you. Else, fret not. One person isn’t supposed to know everything. Speak to a good psychologist and fix your mental health. Yes, it’s important.
5. Check all the above and results will arrive. They have to arrive. That’s the only formula.
