Yep, the Miccosukee- Seminole, Timucua, Calusa, suffered a long time in those marshes while the Tequesta, Ais, and Jega tribes took all that prime real-estate from Ft Lauderdale to Key Largo. there was only one tribe that managed to survive while resisting the pale face.

You mean the 19th century? The trail of tears, and removing of the tribe's began in 1820 and lasted for 15 yrs.Some indians were removed to Florida and the state of Oklahoma. 😊
