This is a quick summary of The Hero's Journey stages by Joseph Campbell.

Due to many requests, I have uploaded a teachers edition of the hero's journey without profanity. This quick summary of The Heroes Journey (Original concept by by Joseph Campbell) is based on the Christopher Vogler adaption of the hero's 12 stages:

This monomyth / mythology is an epic path to self-discovery, facing your fears, and living your life's purpose.

Thank you so, so much for your explanation from this PomStralian in the Up and Over. I love this clear description. I know I am defo on a Heroine's Journey as I have been shifted by intense emotional pain that I have to heal and now can forgive my family for basically being in a hypnotic, programmed traumatised/traumatising trance. I am now ready to share my experiences/findings with others in the "ordinary world" in order to help them heal similar wounds. The energy is that of taking their hands and leading them down my path whilst simultaneously creating a new path together - I am a sherpa, not guru.

I feel it is very much a progression of spirals and you can be in different parts of the journey simultaneously around different issues. I now know for sure that I've called my business the right name which is "Just Come Home" - something which I downloaded years ago but didn't know what it was about or what it meant.

I feel like I’m stuck in the repetition part of my own journey from when I left home at 21. I decided to travel around the country using every bit of money I could scape up and living homeless. All of the challenges and people I’ve had to face so far has been very defining and the experience has been interesting. The amount of loss I had to go through and traumatic experiences... sheesh. I know ima a changed man so far. The only thing is...

I’m stuck... I meet people and then they go away... I find new places but then I get bored and move on... I find new things to do till I get interested into something else... not sure what I should do at this point... I have a burning urge to just get up, pack my book bag, and walk across the country again just to find out why I can’t progress but maybe it’s just not time yet cause I’m only 23 and there’s much more to be learned. Social media has sped up my way of wanting to experience certain things and it’s frustrating.

I‘m currently struggling really hard to find my ‚call of adventure‘ or what i want to do with my life. I‘m 19 and i graduated last year from school and went to college, but i decided to quit because i didn‘t like my subject and now i don‘t really know what i wanna do. I could choose another subject to study or i could go and do something like ‚work and travel‘ but i‘m not sure at all what to do. I feel like i‘m wasting my time...

Your hero must have a Goal. And accomplishes it. If he fails..he is not a hero. On the way to the Goal...inner change.
