Climate change is the most pressing public health issue of our time, yet little epidemiological research has directly examined climate impacts on chronic disease. This presentation pulls from ongoing work in the global Prospective Urban and Rural Epidemiological study to quantify climate impacts and identify adaptation and prevention opportunities.

Perry Hystad, PhD, is an associate professor of environmental and occupational health and the director of the Spatial Health Laboratory in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences at Oregon State University.
