How to get driftwood to sink! Fast and easy!

Try any of the ways mentioned see what you prefer but this is what I like to do

Put driftwood in pressure cooker, fill with water to max line then put on soup setting for 10 minutes and then it's done.

Has been boiling it about 2 hours+, and it still float. Though really removes the tannins. End up using an aquascaping foam to stick it on the ground. After the foam expands, shape it neatly, and cover it using a substrate. A week has passed and the driftwood still seats perfectly.

hmmm, I like the way it smelled boiling. kinda like a wood burning stove.

Has anyone tried 'pre drilling holes' under side (where U don't see) of driftwood prior to boiling/ weighting/ tieing? I wonder if this helps to get water into wood quicker or release trap air in wood?

I have 45 inch long time 19 inch high piece that won't sink. this is a great idea! I'm too impatient to wait while it floats. Thx for posting.

No rush to get the wood into the tank. Put it into a home depot bucket with water and leave it. Change water every day.

I have a big piece inside of a big bin soaking right now . How long was tje total time it took to sink on it's own ?

Thanks! I've had a piece floating for almost 3 months now and it won't sink. So I'm gonna try this. Luckily it's small enough to fit in an old 5 gallon so I'll just put something in it to keep it submerged.
