If you never try something, not knowing what could have happened if you did, can haunt you. Also, if you quit something, all the time that you put into it is just a loss. However, sometimes, it takes courage and mental fortitude to know when to quit.

I respectfully disagree. Quitting one thing is the beginning of a journey of another. For example, I quit serving the tyrannical state by quitting my career in the military when their principles no longer aligned with mine. I then quit my country of Canada, as its ideologies no longer align with mine. I sold our house, paid off our debts, took my family and and began anew elsewhere, no longer shackled by the state's will and their paychecks to service perpetual debt. Yes, I quit hard. And I would recommend quitting to anyone who feels from deep within, that they no longer align with the new normal ideologies. Quit and build something new.
