I actually think that Bonasaur would be one of the two best shadow pets.

I am meant to represent Shadow's all-out power without having to face Astral. You see, I basically feel weak when I face Astral and that was what happened when I used to have Luna and Nebula on my team around 2023-2024 all the time. Facing Astral's all-out power made me feel like a wild pet that can easily be defeated, and I did have enough of that. That was why I did decide to create a Shadow Charm that prevents all methods of it. It may not seem fair but those are challenges I made. I made them not to get the wins, but to see if anyone can beat them without Astral. It has often been Astral against Shadow, and it felt weak which was why I tested some people to use different elements. Shadow can never feel wildly strong with losing to Astral, especially the Puppet Master. However, I decided to no longer use it against Prodigy Youtubers who host livestreams but to only use it when someone decides to battle me.

Bro i finsh off evey rift 24 with Shadow drake and Tenibris if i don't get relect shadow or asorb shadow. never lost a battle in coli and i've won 3 or 4 dragon battles per rift so far. soetimes i get unlucky and get gold thats why i've only got 3 to 4 dragons out of 99 but i still have not lost one battle with that combo. BEST SHADOW PET COMBO EVER!!!!
