I’m not making any comments about the slapping. I have 5 dogs and 4 cats so I know that slap was not painful to the dog. I’m just bothered because being a momma to many fur babies, I am super careful that they never end up in these situations where an “accident” can hurt them or lead to, God forbid, something worse. That’s all.

It just remind me of my 4 month old cat fall down from 4th floor of my building n i couldn't safe her by few seconds but with gods grace she is fine now n doing well.
It's horrible experience, your heart stops for few seconds and body gets cold.

I am really sad to say this, but i've lost a dog 7 years ago in the same way. We were on the top of a high mountain with some friends and my dog was laying next to me, but i didnt have his collar on. While i was admiring the view i kicked a little rock with my foot and my dog instantly went for the rock and fell from a 200 ft cliff. From that moment on i never leave my dogs freely without a leash.
