Performing safety analysis checks such as fastest path or vehicle swept path analysis on an existing roundabout design can be a tedious and time consuming task.

The Adaptive Roundabout tool allows transportation engineers and planners to analyze vehicle swept path and fastest path on any existing roundabout design. Users can insert a predefined roundabout template based on the number of approach lanes, single or dual lanes, and right or left hand traffic direction. Once the template is set at the existing location, users can also make fine adjustments to the geometric edges to match the existing roundabout design. Afterwards, the Evaluate Fastest path and Evaluate Movement tools can be used to check the efficiency of the roundabout design.
