The fact that this phone is almost a decade old, but is still pretty usable is crazy.

I was only 10 when this phone was released, but even at that young age, I could very clearly understand all the hype around this phone. Everyone was talking about it and you could see an iPhone 6 ad just about anywhere. This phone has aged tremendously well.

The iphone 6s was the last iphone (not sure if the iphone SE 2016 has this too) that Apple didn't pair yet the internal parts to motherboard. Third party repairs was easy on this phone. You can even build one from scratch from spare parts.

The iPhone 6s was one of the best iPhones ever made. Sure, it didn’t bring too many upgrades upon first glance, but it undoubtedly pushed the iPhone line to new heights. Bendgate was all but elimated with a new grade of aluminum construction, Touch ID gen 2 was blazing fast and accurate compared to gen 1, the A9 was a massive leap forward in speed that remained competitive with flagships for years after its debut. Of course I’d be remiss not to mention 3D Touch, one of the most overlooked iPhone features that this phone put to great use. The other remarkable thing about the iPhone 6s was its incredible longevity. While it may have seemed like the 6 rehashed when it released, this iPhone proved it was far superior it’s predecessor. I got my 6s in 2017 after working hard to afford it, and I really loved it when it was my daily. I still have it as my backup which I’ve used on occasion. Lucky I got the 64GB model not the 16 or 32 though.

I got an iPhone 6s back in 2015 and used all up until 2022, when I replaced it with a iPhone 13 Mini.
The 6s also has full support for 4G LTE calling and internet, so there won’t be a problem when the 2G network shuts down.

This mean that the last headphone jack iPhone was 9 years ago

Edit: every one are yapping about the SE and iPads bro I meant an iPhone and not an iPad that has a new design (the SE is an updated version of the 5s)

I usually prefer Android phones, mainly because of the options both budget wise and feature wise, but the 6 and 6s was a damn solid phone. The most well aged phone IMO

I along with many others has been hard on apple when it comes to longevity, but the fact is that they''ve PULLED THROUGH. Apple deserves a TON of respect for keeping their older devices working.

I currently use the SE2, mainly because I enjoy having a home button and I simply still appreciate this design. I got the 6 plus in Jan 2015, then the 8 Plus, still have it, in Product Red. Still a beautiful phone even in 2024.

I've been rocking the standard 7 for the past five years and I have no issues. I'm not a heavy smartphone user by any means, so the roughly 4 hours of screen on time is plenty for my usage. Every app still works, and it still gets somewhat regular security updates. My only concern is that the security updates have been much more infrequent since IOS 17 launched. It's probably safe for now, and I only visit a handful of websites anyway, so it's not that big of an issue if they tapper off. The phone is going on eight years old and the 6s is going on nine, really any updates are a gift from Apple at this stage. Side note, I use the phone without a case and I love how it feels in the hand, as it's ridiculously thin and I can wrap my hand around the entire frame of the phone effortlessly.

This was my 2nd iPhone ever after the 5s and it honestly one of my most favorite iPhones I ever used! I’ve had it from 2016 till 2021 and it still holds on perfectly (aside from battery) it’s just so perfect

I bought my dad this phone when it came out and he still has it to this day. He will NOT depart from it. I told him I’ll upgrade it to a 15 plus for him but he wasn’t into it at all. So instead I just put a brand new battery in his 6S plus instead and it’s good to go like new 👍

I still love this design, and really hoped they would made a SE plus version. But no way.

The 6s and 6s plus are still pretty damn good iPhones to this day, being able to run smoothly almost 9 years later and can compete with newer budget android phones (except battery life) and have features no longer available on current iPhones while being so thin and light. This iPhone was a game changer, a favorite, and this iPhone will be in the history books for

This phone will be 10 years old next year in September of 2025.

Still use my iPhone 8 and works the same. People who buy new phones every year or two need to have their insecurity checked or something

To be honest I had an iPhone 6 back then and I just wanted to buy the 6S Plus because it looked really cool in that space gray color. Still have it and I never even used more than a few days so the battery is still 99% (99% because of the degradation throughout the years).

Great phone and I still say that most people does not need a phone with a better feature list than a 6S/Plus. Might be faster phone, with better display quality and camera but the average Joe does not need half of the features that a 15 Pro Max offers.
