Those ledgers have so much interesting information in them! Some history museums and libraries are able to preserve them for research purposes. The one from the funeral home, for instance, would be very useful for someone doing graduate or even doctoral work for a business or other degree. The day to day spending, the cost of items, even the what was purchased that changed over the years can be illuminating. Were funerals more expensive or less so than today, taking into account inflation, average income of people at the time, etc. Someone out there would love to study those!

I have most of the FP little people that went to all the playhouses, airport, western town, farm, etc. They are in very good condition. I'm hoping my granddaughter who is almost 2 will eventually play with them.

When my dad passed away I was 11 and I went with my mom and I paid $199 from sears for the headstone and foundation. They were divorced and it was my savings so I wanted my dad to have a stone. That was many years ago.
