📍 MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, recently revealed that he is currently in a phase where he barely watches any YouTube or other content. During a conversation on the Joe Rogan Experience, he discussed his intense focus on his projects and the impact this has had on his content consumption habits.

"What do you feel like the landscape of YouTube is, and what do you feel like it's missing?" Joe Rogan asked.

MrBeast responded candidly, "The hard part is, I go through cycles watching a lot of YouTube, but I'm so knee deep in grind mode right now. I'm not even watching YouTube. I'm watching so little content on any platform. Like, I uninstalled TikTok and everything because of distraction. So, I literally just wake up, work out, work on my videos, work on Feastables, and then go to bed. I try to hang out with my girlfriend for a couple of hours here and there. So, I'm probably the worst person to tell you what's going on in the platform. I feel bad. I'm so out of the loop because I'm so knee deep in what I'm doing that I'm not even keeping up with everyone else."

He expressed mixed feelings about this intense focus. "I feel shitty. I wish people would, there's inspiration and then there's just stealing. So many people just steal what I do. So many people literally just put their face on my face, take my thumbnail, or verbatim say what I say at the start of my videos. It's pretty interesting because, in the podcasts we've done, like every time I've done these podcasts, we did them almost every year for three, four years, I just come on here and say everything I know. I don't hold back."

MrBeast continued, "I will literally come on here and tell you guys every little thing I know about getting views on YouTube. And I know thousands, tens of thousands of creators have watched those and that's the reason why they're making ten-plus thousand dollars a month. Because they're just like, 'Oh, Jimmy just literally laid it out, just followed it.'"

While he acknowledges the positive impact of his openness, he also noted the downsides. "But then there's also the negative because so many creators have watched it. And instead of taking inspiration from me, they're just like, 'Oh, I'm just going to do exactly what he's doing.' And it's pretty brutal. I don't call people out that copy me because not everything I do is original. You always get inspiration from somewhere. So, I try not to be hypocritical."

In conclusion, MrBeast's current phase of hyper-focus on his projects has led him to disengage from consuming content on YouTube and other platforms. While he appreciates the influence and success his transparency has brought to other creators, he also feels the frustration of seeing his content and ideas being directly copied. Despite these challenges, MrBeast remains dedicated to his work and continues to innovate in the world of content creation.
