Can I use Iron?
Keep it at low heat, I run a Iron on a water damaged Plywood Carcass.
Will this idea works by ironing and dry out the moisture that is soaked beneath the laminated finishing and plywoods layers?

Back in the old days....lol...I was taught by my father to use steam to flatten veneers...using an old iron and cotton wetted with water...then clamping between boards with cardboard (my father used a trouser press)... Your method looks easier Sean....lol...and your Mum won’t be moaning cause you knicked her iron...lol...

Hi Sean, I have purchased a box of very old veneer from an Antique auction, It is very old because it has Pound Shilling & pence pricing on the sheets in chalk so possibly pre 1977. most of it has dried out. All of it is beautiful to me, I will give your video a go. Thank you so much for your information, so refreshing. Just one other question. I have very little knowledge of identifying what veneer woods they are, could you guide me into a direction of how I can identify the woods please.

Ihave been told to soak the veneer overnight in a mixture of glycerine, IPA and PVA overnight before I start the clamping process, would you advise this?

Love how young you are and your videos are excellent. You are obviously very talented!! I learned from my mother, but now have an issue we never tackled. Any suggestions for warped cracked veneer you cannot remove? Refinishing a clockmakers's bench. Thanks

Make it yourself thanks to wood prix plans. I think it's the best way to learn how to build it in the cheapest way.

Hi! The video is interesting. One question, is the Softener product oily? Can the veneers glued with epoxy as good as non treated woods? Thanks?
