Hi,
I have a 2015 Nissan Altima (S trim level). The airbag light came on (solid not blinking) and I took it to the dealer, dealer said it was going to cost $2, 000-2, 500 to replace the WHOLE ENTIRE passenger seat. I looked at the NHTSA complaint area for the car and another person had the exact same problem, and they took it to a second dealer and they said that the dealer said that it was a side airbag control module. I know I have to diagnose it first and see what the problem actually is, but if it is the side airbag control module (passenger seat), can I fix it on my own or should I take it to the dealer and have them fix it? Or could I just reset it the airbag control module?
