I bought a sub-$200 drone. MISTAKE?! (Tenssenx TSRC A6)

I’m a total beginner and bought the TSRC Q7. You’re on beginner mode for a start. Mine flew great and took great pics. The drone went up 80 something meters and was very responsive. The flight path was perfect. I was impressed. My friend had the DJI mini 2. Tbh, although the DJI felt more stable, I didn’t see a ton of difference. I haven’t had any issues with the TSRC ($109). That’s just my experience though and I’m a total noob

Take the time to read the instructions and take it step by step. Take the manual with you for the first few times you fly it. It flies itself and only really needs input from the joysticks and pressing a button or three. Once you input the gps and activate it(important step) you're set. The return to home takes it pretty far up so it can come straight down to the launch site and avoid trees and other obstacles (i.e. if you took it off straight up for as short distance
it comes back approx on that heading to land. Intuitive is good but everything has a learning curve. "I flew it once or twice and it couldn't read my mind so it's trash" You've got to learn to use anything. Very few things are totally intuitive. That being said, the camera needs a gimbal. The vids will just be to look at for yourself.

I love all you "professionals" banging on this cheap little drone- Like any of you went out and dropped 2K+ to "learn" how to fly one. Gimme a flippin break. A moron understands it is a cheap drone! that's the point geniuses. I digress- Thanks for the info Mathew nice job.

I agree. Just got the Q5 for $80. Image/video quality is crap. The app is flaky. But for $80 its fun as heck just ripping around the yard and woods. And I figure if I can pilot this crazy thing decently, moving to something more legit will be a breeze. $80 well spent, imo. First 2 days of flying - hit a tree branch and fell 50 feet. Got stuck in a tree and cut a branch to get the drone down (fell with branch to ground). Concrete wall 'incident'. I havent changed props yet and its still flying...

Hello. I’m planning to get a Mini 2 for Christmas and a TSRC A6 now. Since I have a budget of about 125 dollars, do you think this is the best drone to get? I’m currently getting it for the RTH, battery life and speed with a altimeter.

Do I need the app to fly this thing? I’ve had it for sometime but I’ve found nothing that can help me figure it out. This video didn’t show me things that would help start it up either.

my only complaints with this, is that a small gust of wind pushes it, the battery, and the calibration. but otherwise, the Q5 is not bad.

Yeah, it’s a beginner friendly drone. If you want expensive quality then buy an expensive drone. But if you’re looking for an inexpensive trainer to beat up, then why not? I have an R/C plane made of styrofoam to practice with. And when I’m comfortable with the physics I’ll step it up.

Of course it was a mistake, unless you merely wanted a newbie beginner experience to learn with. I bought the A5, crashed it 4 times and it just kept going. Had to replace props. It flew as expected for $75. As I mastered it and prepared to invest in a real one, I flew it a bit too far away and bye-bye! Time to go from a disposable toy to a real tool now!

For me it worked great and yours is on newbie mode which Means for new people fly drones and the battery for you may be glichted so to tell you the real battery leave the app and rejoin it

To calibrate you should hold the drone up in the air and twist your entire body with the drone not just spin the drone around it will calibrate your drone much better. These are fun drones but they are not even close to DJI quality not even holy stone quality but they are fun I bought one for 35$ cause it’s 35$ lol
Not exactly like flying my mavic but it’s fun even though I’m very experienced I did crash my A6 inside the house it just randomly shot to the roof for no reason I was flying straight and all sudden it shot to the sky thankfully I was inside or it would have been gone it would not shut down it stayed in my ceiling grinding scrapped it a bit I changed propellers all is good.
