I think a seal on a ring should be next on the list. Thanks as always.

Good tip regarding enclosing wax sealed envelope in an outer one.

I have a set very similar to yours and I carved an arrow on the handle so I wouldn't get confused with the direction. You are not the only one to have this problem (=
I bought it after reading about the history of correspondence; which is just fascinating ... green and blue wax for informal writing, red for official and military business, and black for bad news; rules for envelope folding, sizes of paper, ciphers, inks ... Sometime later, I even sourced goose and turkey feathers to cut my own quill pens (much more difficult than it looks, I found out).
I don't use the set so much, because I ended up being afraid of accidents with candles and hot wax in a closed environment, with old furniture, books and tons of paper inside. I started using stick wax, which can be heated in hot glue guns, it's not so cool ... but less messy.

Hello Michael, I live in a small seaside town way down the bottom of Australia, so imagine my surprise today when in the local charity shop I spotted a name I recognised. Glad to be the new owner of Dispensation of Death. I’ve been a fan of your channel for ages but this will be the first time I’ve come across your work, looking forward to it.

I may experiment with beeswax mixed with propolis.

The rubber is nice, but wow, that seal is beautiful.

I like the little easter egg with QR code going to your website :)

Nice video, quite humorous. Personally I wouldn’t use either of those stamps for a book signing, I think they look tacky. I would use an embosser instead. You can get some lovely designs and reasonably priced. I just bought one with a knight on for £11. The wax seal is lovely, I have so many designs myself including Harry Potter, Cinderella, The Wizard Of Oz, Sherlock Holmes, Mona Lisa and many many more! Happy writing🖋

I love your videos. While on the subject of stamps, one can also use an embosser. Perhaps a little more subtle & more difficult to read, but also a nice touch nonetheless. They are readily available on Amazon. Cheers!

Very interesting. I have wax seal stamps (+ wax, spoon, etc) and never managed to get a good seal (I possibly got these pre-internet - so had them a long time!!!) I shall have another go now I've seen how it's done :-) Thank you.

That wax colour is lovely-looks metallic. I do need to get writing some letters.

It really was a black, blue and red letter day review. I want one of my own.

These stamp and wax seals series has piqued my interest in getting a wax seal/embosser for myself.
Thank You, for the wonderful videos over the past couple of weeks.

Thanks, that was fun. Always enjoyed seeing that in movies, Robin Hood, The Lion in Winter, etc. By the way,
I got on to your channel over fountain pens, but have picked up The Last Templar, really enjoying it. Wonderful
tension throughout even with all the riding about and camping. Excellent description of Simon's first donnybrook
with those nasty marauders. Great fun!

Imagine my disappointment when you didn't rub two pieces of wood together to light your tealight. Even striking some flint would've been acceptable. 😁

Interesting video. I guarantee you I would've put a lot of pressure down on the melted wax the first time I used that seal. Good thing I watched this.

That was very restful Michael, thank you.

Now, Mr. Jecks, can you find a matching pen ink for the signature?

Thanks Mike 🙂👍🏻 Your wax stamp is superb. I’d probably have one designed around my initials I think. Now why can’t my family have a coat of arms? 😂

Hi I am new to this channel and I have a question for you that thing that melts the wax and hold the candle what is it called ???

Hello sir, apologies for my absence, but this is a very appealing topic. I've always wanted to get into wax seals, but never found a generic stamp I like and can't think of what to put on my own (and never investigated where to get them done).

But it's nice to see a guide on how they work because there were some gaps in my assumptions. :)

Hope you and your family are all well.

PS - Wouldn't leaving in the dog's hair help authenticate your seal? ;)
